girls’ night in (wine and yarn required)

I confess. It’s Friday at 2pm and I’m still in my pj’s in my messy house watching Boy Meets World. And I’ve already taken one nap today. What can I say? I LOVE holidays!

Last night was Girls’ Night In hosted by Yours Truly, moi. It was about 10 lovely ladies, most of them my coworkers and then Alli and her roommate. It made me feel very lucky to have good girlfriends. I remember when I moved to DC about a year and a half ago I basically had no friends. Luckily for me, I work with about ten other 20-something girls in my office. It’s like a big sorority.

Although it was billed as Arts & Crafts Night, it pretty much turned into Knitting Only night. We ordered pizza and watched old Oprahs and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. (I have to confess that I liked the movie.)

Please note the following Girls’ Night necessities in the pictures below: wine, Doritos, lime Tostitos, yarn, more yarn, Diet Coke, Diet Coke reserves, and homemmade dessert. And try to find the one thing that doesn’t quite belong in the photos.

Oh yeah, there is a boy in there! Andrew ended up hanging around, but he was very well-behaved and didn’t make fun of Oprah or our movie (outloud, at least). Or else I would have killed him.

The party was so exciting for Howie that after everyone went home he gave me a little gift by puking on the carpet. Thanks, Howie, you little slut.
