uncle sam owes me

Sometimes it’s easy to complain about living in DC. Like when I can’t park in my own neighborhood because there are NO SPOTS ANYWHERE, or when the bus doesn’t come, or the fact that that we don’t have voting rights, because Taxation Without Representation, jerks!

But today, I praise thee, District of Columbia! Because of you (and my wonderful, smart father), my taxes are done and you will be directly depositing my refund into my checking account any day now.

Seriously though, my federal and state taxes took approximately 33 minutes total to complete. I had my dad on the phone doing my federal ones from Colorado while I simultaneously completed my DC ones online. Now I need to decide to do with the whopping $359 coming my way…

I love Washington (the State) even more than you love DC. I’m talking NO state income tax and since they let me into school here and we get an education tax credit, I now have a $2,253 return coming diretly to our bank account. Woo Hoo, what should we buy?!

You should treat your self with something nice like a facial or mani/pedi combo with your win fall!

I’d spend half on something you want, just because, and then save the rest for some kind of treat for you and your hubby on your honeymoon.

I think you should save it for your honeymoon. Although, if it were me, I would prob. end up spending it LONG before that on something I really don’t need, like a fab new purse.

I am sure you’ll figure out what to do with your return. Can anyone say “new purse”?!
