still getting settled in
February 28th, 2006 @ 12:38 am | miscellany | Post a CommentI spent a long time tweaking the site tonight, and basically ended up back at square one because nothing worked right. I really need to learn CSS or something quickly.
I want to be able to:
- link to pages without them being alphabetical, and not even necessarily in the Links column (like my flickr page)
- customize the sidebar thingy so it has more areas than just About, Links, etc.
- post my photo without it having to be in the links section
I keep telling Andrew I feel like someone told me to write in Chinese, and I don’t know Chinese! I only speak English! Somebodeeee teach me some Chinese already! Everytime I jump into some online FAQ code forum I get about a tenth of the way down the page before they’ve totally lost me.
Perhaps I shouldn’t do this while simultaneously watching Dr. 90210 and The Bachelor?
P.S. Thanks to all for wedding dress advice/rah-rahs/confirmation I am not crazy/etc!
if i figure anything out i will let you know. i am spending part of today at work researching html/css stuff cause i need a break from the real working. it looks great as it is though!

Please don’t feel bad. I’ve been fighting with mine for months now and it’s just FRUSTRATING. Especially when someone says “just do xxxxx”. Pfft. Good luck, and I think it looks great as is!

I’ve given up. I don’t like my site, but apparently I’m not smart enough to fix it either… maybe eventually I’ll get around to one of those books for dummies.
