love and hate friday
Love: The weather! Can it be true that spring is really here? Daylight savings is around the corner, the official cherry blossom season has been announced, and this weekend it just might hit 80 degrees. For a girl who grew up in Colorado, where five out of six days are sunny, the end of a gray Washington winter can’t come soon enough.
Hate: This may sound silly, but seriously, my new cat stopped purring. And no, that is not a euphemism for something else. Ever since we got back from Delaware, Hugo hasn’t purred or cuddled once! This is the same cat who used to purr nonstop and REALLY LOUDLY. Teenage kitty angst?
Love: My sister is coming to visit soon! I am taking some time off of work exactly two weeks from today so we can undertake a four-store wedding gown try-on extravaganza.
Hate: The new signs in our restroom stalls at work asking all who sit there to please have the courtesy to wipe urination from the seat. First, ew, and second, is a bitchy note really necessary? I don’t think so.
Love: Girl time. Going to see the Cezanne in Provence exhibit at the National Gallery tomorrow afternoon with my girlfriends. I know nothing about art, so I expect to quadruple my current Art IQ after attending just this one exhibit. Fabulous!
Hate: Wedding vendors who do not email me back. Do they not want my money?!? Seriously.
Love: All of the people from my last post who admitted that they, too, watch afwul, terrible TV. Although you all make me feel better about myself, we really need to get out more. You know, to art exhibits and stuff!

How fun that your sister is coming and the the weather is good right now!! Hooray.
So, it was snowing earlier today (which is BIG news in Seattle). And now the sun is out (which is also big news in Seattle). Very odd.
What do I love/hate today?
I love my husband and my kitty and this new baby.
I hate being pregnant. End of story!

Hate: Taking a lukewarm shower in a less then one year old (to us) house
Love: That apparently our “home warrenty,” purchased by the seller, is going to cover completely REPLACING the old water heater. Smooth legs, that don’t grow hair 2.5 second after shaving because of lack of hot water causing goose bumps, here I come!

The bathroom signs are going to come down in exactly 4 more business days, by my doing. A week is plenty of time for the guilty party to change her bathroom habits.

Kay…so I bet that sign was posted in your bathroom cause’ of those finicky people who squat and don’t clean up after THEMSELVES. I despise irresponsible squatters. It is something that has bugged me for years ever since I realized there were these uber conscious germ-a-phobes out there who are actually the ones creating the mess. I’ve never been able to air this grievance, thank you!
