love and hate weekend edition
Love: Went out with friends last night for yummy Thai food. Birthdays are such a good excuse to go out!
Hate: Woke up this morning with evil death strep-flu-ish illness. Could it be bird flu? (I did eat chicken for dinner last night.) Please just kill me now because I don’t think I can call in sick tomorrow, since I am already taking Thursday and Friday off because my sister is coming!
Love: Yeah, my sister is coming on Wednesday evening! She has never been to DC before. Another dear friend from home is flying out too, which will make for an amazing weekend of girl-time. Bonus: My sister, the 2nd Least Adventurous Eater on Earth, told me she would try any kind of food. Since I live in Adams Morgan, we should have no shortage of choices to help expand her palate.
Hate: March Madness. Not so much that I hate it, just that I couldn’t care less about it. Am I the only one? The only thing less entertaining to me? The NBA. (Can you tell basketball just ain’t my thang?)
Love: This new blog I found that makes fun of bridezillas.Should be mandatory reading for all engaged girls. (If I’m ever reading it one day and feel like they are writing about me, I will cry. Sob, in fact.)
Hate: My (giant and inflamed) tonsils. That’s all.
Love: These new smoothies I have been making. Ingredients: fresh squeezed tangerine juice, frozen strawberries and raspberries, and plain nonfat yogurt. So easy and healthy and delicious!

Hate: Watching Basketball and Listening to husband talk about it…
Love: Weekends where I can buy 4 new CDs and clutter the room with a sewing project because husband went to Dallas for the tournament!!
