excuses, craziness, and a side of bacon

Posting may be light this week because I had to send my beloved new Macbook to Memphis to get fixed at the techno-infirmary. Getting back on my archaic Thinkpad with Windows feels like I may as well have just gone all the way back to DOS and the Apple IIe of my childhood. In that case, I should totally be playing Where in Europe is Carmen San Diego? right now.

Man, I loved that game! From it I learned how to spell the capital of Iceland and also the hair color of a toehead. I was a genius child!

This afternoon at work I got serious craving for bacon, which is a little odd because I probably eat bacon only once or twice a year. First I IMed a coworker about how I really wanted a BLT and later I texted Andrew with, “bacon bacon bacon! love you!” (no, I’m sadly not kidding). Considering that I did attend boot camp this morning and I ate a light lunch of fruit and cottage cheese, I treated myself to a succulent, homemade BLT for dinner tonight. I guess that book I’ve been reading about the truth about where our food comes from hasn’t had a long-term effect on my appetite.

In sticking with the theme of being a little weird and random tonight, I will just finish by freaking out a little bit that my wedding is in FOUR MONTHS! Ack! and also Yay!

While you were learning to spell Reykjavik you should also have learned to spell towhead, since you were (are) one.

Oh so glad I read the comments today…. Dan Daly strikes again!

On the subject of random food you know you shouldn’t be eating but do…. I had long be hiding from my hubby that I actually like to eat hotdogs. Since he’s discovered it this summer, we must have eaten them about 10 times! Yuck! I think I’ve had my fill for the next three years or so!

Also, I texted my roommate to bring me home fudgesicles “or ELSE” yesterday. I called Matt and told him we could hang out ONLY he came over with Popsicles. (somehow he didnt like my demand!) I was craving a Frap bar and no one was helping.

We should be on call for one another?

Can I come over and play Carmen Sandiego with you? I used to LURVE that game and was very good as well.

My current “must-have” food is a burrito the size of my forearm.

I keep thinking of that commercial for the pet treats… with the dog that yells… “bacon bacon bacon. IT’S BACON!”

I actually tasted one of those things.

Tastes like bacon. Dog was right.

I learned what “spelunking” is from Carmen San Diego. That knowledge has come in so handy through the years.

Remember the tv show? Yup, I was obsessed with it.
Colin made bacon on Saturday morning, and the whole house reeked of it for days. I am SO over bacon right now.
