love: I already worked out today!
hate: Living in a basement. I vacuumed up no less than five spiders yesterday. (On the upside, let’s all cheer because I vacuumed!)
love: My best guy friend from college just moved to DC. I think the trend of my friends leaving DC is finally slowing down a little.
hate: My TiVo “lost the basic cable signal.” Doesn’t Oprah start showing new shows today? I am going to miss them!
love: My fantasy football team won for the 2nd week in a row.
hate: That our fat, fat cat Hugo might have diabetes. We took him to the vet on Saturday for some blood work and we should get the results today. He was so fat that the vet had a hard time feeling around for any of his organs! Poor kitty.
love: a new Martha Stewart magazine I am considering subscribing to, Tim Gunn, and apricot beer.
hate: that my tomato plant never did grow even one stinking teeny tiny tomato, that two sessions in the cancertanning bed haven’t led to any actual tan-ness, and that now I have to get to work!

Love: That I just finished off my 4th Austin City Limits Music Festival experience!
Hate: That in four years its never been anything but unbearably hot and/or humid on ACL weekend! So much sweating is not healthy!

Do you listen to Tim Gunn’s podcasts? They’re my favorite.
love: A friend won four free tickets to The Last Kiss tonight and asked me to go!
hate:Seeing the movie means I have to miss the premiere of Studio 60 on Sunset Strip, which I am so curious about.
love: I think they’re replaying Studio 60 during Project Runway’s usual slot on Wednesday.
hate:No Project Runway this week!

Love: my hair. no seriously, it looks so cute.
Hate: everything else. my schedule being too packed this week to do much about that till Wednesday.
Love: not having to make dinner tonight – going to a family thing instead where my only responsibility is to buy a loaf of sourdough bread.
Hate: that I have to stay here at work even though I have nothing to do.

Hi Janet,
A quick tip on the tanning – see if they have the stand-up tanning bed (doesn’t it seem silly to call it a bed when you’re standing?!) I’m not sure if you have to have a base tan to use them – but it gives you AWESOME color (it hits you from every direction). Just a tip.

I hope your cat is OK… I had a scare last year, when I thought my own fat, fat cat might have diabetes. I am so happy that he didn’t because I am terrified of needles… and I don’t think I could do that twice a day. It’s hard enough getting him to swallow a pill every morning for his stupid allergies.
Will wait eagerly to hear how the results turn out. Here’s to hoping for no diabetes!

I am not usually an Oprah fan. But every now and again I’ll see a show that looks good, so I’ll watch it. But then she has all these commericals for her upcoming shows and they look GOOD ALSO. So then I set up my TiVo to tape that show, which has more commercials for more upcoming GOOD SHOWS that I must watch.
And that is how I get sucked in.
So did you see yesterday’s with the NJ (old) governor?? It was AWESOME!
