love & hate, last day of work edition
love: once I get through today, I’ve got five days off before we leave for Cabo. I’m really glad I made the decision to take extra time off.
hate: that work sure has made me earn my vacation this week. I’ve been slammed.
love: homemade low-fat blueberry buttermilk pancakes
hate: that I should probably cut out carbs for the final push to slim down
love: that my officemates threw me a surprise shower yesterday! I was even sort of expecting it, yet they were able to suprise me. We ate catered breakfast goodies and they gave me a beautiful set of engraved champagne flutes.
hate: that I broke my promise to myself to go running every morning this week. I suck.
love: my new hair stylist, who gave me a fab cut this week
hate: hypocrites
love: that OMG my wedding that I have been planning forever is finally freaking happening next week and I am so excited I could pee my pants!

I love that I have the morning off from work because I have a meeting in Silver Spring to go to… so I get to sleep in a little, watch Charmed at 9am, finish the laundry and straighten up before I leave.
I hate that I’m going to get stuck in hours of DC traffic trying to make it to my friend’s apt in Arlington when my meeting gets out at 4.
Smart, smart decision taking the extra time off of work!

Love: that I’ll soon be sitting on the beach with my best friend contemplating how GREAT life is – you’re getting married! Yay!
Hate: that I have soooo much to do at work between now and then that I a nightmare last night that I forgot to pack for the trip until right before I left.

Love: My husband and I are going out of town together this weekend.
Hate: He will spend most of the weekend attending conference-type meetings, while I will be in the hotel room doing stuff for work. BOOOO.
