more wine please
November 30th, 2006 @ 9:49 am | miscellany | Post a CommentI feel like I have been a terrible blogger lately, doing halfassed posts mostly filled with wedding photos and whining about the wedding being over. I swear I have some great ideas brewing in my head, just no time to develop any of them. I’ve been working late and then coming home to work on a few Christmas gifts I have in the works, and also drinking wine and canoodling with my husband because we are newlyweds and we are allowed to drink as much wine as we want! Right?
Anyway, some stuff coming your way soon:
- An introduction to my new favorite TV show (and you wouldn’t guess it if I gave you 30 guesses)
- My Christmas wish list (not that I deserve a damn thing with all the wedding loot laying around that I haven’t written thank you notes for yet)
- The story of our honeymoon, which features tortilla soup quite prominently
- Other random things, such as: My next vacation is to Akron and I totally plan on wearing my Akron tshirt on the plane
But today the most important thing on the agenda is a big party at my office, complete with tons of wine and cheese. Two of my most favorite things (if only I could consume the wine NOT in the presence of my boss and NOT the week before my annual evaluation. Damn.) I am going to celebrate by actually blow drying my hair and putting on makeup!
Wow, my life as a married gal has gotten really lame, really fast.
I leave you with a self portrait from the honeymoon. Some of you may regognize the dress.

You’re not a terrible blogger! Just a post-wedding / slightly preoccupied blogger. And that’s a-okay.
Have fun at the party, and I can’t wait to find out the favourite tv show that is oh so mysterious.

I think that generally, in life, your priorities should be as follows–
1.canoodling
2. wine and cheese
3. blog

I agree with lindsey, working for the Baptists is no fun. Wine makes everything better!

Guess what — you’ve been tagged to write 6 weird things about yourself. They can be wedding-related or not, as long as they’re weird. Check out my blog for more details.
