happy monthiversary

With only two,
Just me and you
Not so many things we got to do,
Or places we got to be
We’ll sit beneath the mango tree now
It’s always better when we’re together

I can’t believe it was only one month ago that we said our vows on a gorgeous beach, stuffed ourselves full of delicious mexican food, and danced our pants off. (Some of us did that more literally than others!) Newlywedness has been good too us. Lots of canoodling and other over-the-top sweetness, several bottles of wine and champage, a few indulgent dinners.

I don’t have any grand revelations about marriage. Andrew and I were already sharing our lives. Now we share a last name and a bank account and get to fill out the little box on forms for “spouse”. But I’d like to think it’s a little different anyway. A little sweeter, perhaps? A little more romantic for now at least. I like it this way.

only a little different? I thought getting married felt a LOT different (emotionally) and we were sharing our lives already too :)

Glad you think it’s sweet! And happy monthiversary!

I felt like one of the biggest differences was the radical transformation of the contents of our kitchen cupboards, but we were exceptionally schmoopy at first too! it was probably seeing him wear that ring, because there is something about a man with a wedding ring!

    Happy monthiversary!

Happy One Month-Aversare (thats how we said it.) I’m glad you’ve been enjoying a littl extra cuddling and wine. Congratulations! But I must tell you that addressing your Christmas card to your new name was a little hard for me :)

Why is it that they good times fly by and the crap times take forever?

Congrats! You two are my favorite married-one-month-ago couple

Oooh! Totally off the subject, but I just saw your sidebar and – wow! 75% chance of winning in your Fantasy Football league? Can I be a total sports dork and ask who is on your team? Because I just made the 4 of 12 teams playoffs myself (the only girl, thank you very much :) )
