merry merry

(Doesn’t my dad look cute in his outdoorsman gear? And don’t I look hotstumpy in my gators? Also, wasn’t I tan like one month ago? Where did the tan go?!?!)

We had a very nice double Christmas. The first part in Delaware, with tons of yummy food and gifts. We flew into Denver on Christmas Eve just fine (15 minutes early, in fact) and proceeded to eat even more food and open even more gifts.

This afternoon my dad and I put on skis and showshoes and went directly out the back door and into the fields behind our house for some good old-fashioned winter fun.

I’m a Colorado girl at heart, and it feels so good to be in my home state. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

I’ll quote one of my favorite Christmas songs. “The closest thing to heaven on this planet anywhere is a quiet Christmas morning in the Colorado snow.” Glad you made it home safely. I will be working a ton this week to make up for last week so I don’t think I’ll get a chance to see you. But I hope you have a wonderful time at home. I’m getting X-country skiis for Christmas too!

I am glad that you were able to make it into Denver after the snow totally paralyzed the city. I am in Colorado Springs and enjoy the snow too…well sometimes.

Glad you had a great Christmas! Enjoy Colorado to the fullest!!!

Awww, how cute! Glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas. Seeing you in your skis reminds me that I have never been skiing in my life! How sad is that? :)

I’m jealous – you have a dad who loves you AND you got snow on Christmas.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas–I’m glad you didn’t get stuck in the Denver travel delays. Looks like Colorado is snowier than Minnesota!!

I was hoping you made it to Colorado safely! Does that sound weird and stalkerish? I hope not. But anyway, I’m glad you made it there and are having a great time!

I’m glad you guys are with your family and that you’re having fun.

And I’m glad you guys flew in okay. I was thinking about you…

(you look cute and so does your Dad.)

(And you like the snow? Really?)

Aw, I love the photo! I am glad you’re having a good time and I’m SO envious that you’re skiing. Gaah. I’m staring at my unused (and dusty) skis in the corner – where they have been for I don’t know how long – and thinking of you. Mrow.

I sincerely wish I was in that photo. It is so frame-able. And, your dad is just swell.
