I got a shiny and fast new iMac and I just might love it more than my Macbook. The best thing? Thanks to Photo Booth, there’s actually TWO of me working. See? Twice the productivity! I’m gonna have to ask for a raise…
hate: My desk is a mess! Anyone wanna come over and do my filing?
love: I just so happen to be wearing my pretty cherry shoes again today! And this time they aren’t bludgeoning my feet.
hate: the diamond on my engagement ring is loose, so I can’t wear it until I get a prong fixed
love: finding cool new music on my office’s shared iTunes network (today’s discovery: Ben Kweller, anyone ever heard of him?)
hate: the cherry blossoms have come and gone, and it’s still FREAKING COLD.
love: this 2 point breakfast: 1 whole wheat lite english muffin, 1 piece of turkey bacon, 1 fried egg white – it keeps me full all morning
hate: that my feet REALLY need a pedicure. I’ll spare you the photo for that one though.

Ben Kweller is awesome! We have iMacs at work, too (I know I totally shouldn’t be blogging at work, either, but…) and everyone makes fun of me because on my work iTunes I only have a spattering of music down/up-loaded for specific work jokes.
LOVE: Can I still love that I got free money on Wednesday??
HATE: My other top-secret work problems continue to suck.
LOVE: It is going to be nice out this weekend!
HATE: I have the sniffles and a sore throat.
LOVE: I have 6 boxes of girl scout cookies.
HATE: Eating every single one of these cookies is not a good idea.

Colin loves Ben Kweller – we saw him at ACL Fest last year – he got a massive bloody nose in the middle of the set and had to leave the stage – it was one of the weirder things I’ve ever seen at a concert!
Love: I have all the fixins to make a double batch of chocolate chip cookies to take over to my new neighbors
Hate: That the light in our kitchen is broken so I’m procrastinating making the cookies in the semi-dark

Wait, there’s a blog rule about not doing it at work? Where’s the manual…?
Love: my sassy new suit! I tried it on last night and the hubs was all, “You’re so weird.”
Hate: that I have to pack it away for my work trip next week. With any luck, it’ll emerge unscathed and I can get away with steaming it in the bathroom.

Alison – I was backstage at that same Ben Kweller concert. He is great.
Saw him last month in Baltimore at Sonar.
I LOVE GOMEZ though! Check them out if you haven’t yet. They are amazing. Saw them at ACL fest last year too.

Love: Nails are actually growing a little bit, properly painted (black, thanks).
Hate: Freakin’ construction workers that started at SIX am with JACKHAMMERS and LOUD conversation, killing my sleep.
Love: My cats, snurgled up with us, growling and hissing at everyone who comes to my door.
Hate: How small my bedroom is.
Love: My friend and her awesome husband, who I ‘borrowed’ while mine was gone to move out my hideous mirrored closet doors and hang a bar for pretty, pretty fabric to go on instead.

Love: That I spent yesterday sleeping it away
Hate: I was so sick I wanted to die. Also hate, I am in my 90 day “just hired” window at work and I will not be paid for yesterday.
Love: That I live in a place where I can say to someone “I’m sick, please get me some Gatorade and Sprite, the phone, a barf bucket and leave me to die”
Hate: That I missed the free CEU course today, but figured I’d better stick close to home in case the sickness returns.
Love: At least this happened on a Friday so I have the whole weekend to recover.
Hate: I’m going to miss out on seafood lasagne at a birthday party tonight.
Love: Your oh so cute cherry shoes! And girl, treat yourself to a pedi- I had one last week. Heavenly!

Thumbs up for Ben Kweller! Would love to see him in concert sometime. I have an imac too and looove the photobooth option, especially when you can make yourself an Andy-Warhol-esque photo. (Sorry, decided to stay in NYC this weekend and never made it to Philly).
