Thanks to all you delurkers out there! I’ve been having fun visiting your sites over the last few days. In fact, so much fun that I’m only about halfway through the list. The rest of you? You’ll be hearing from me shortly. Just as soon as I can convince my husband that it’s more important than finishing my laundry. Or painting the rest of the living room.
Oh yes, you heard me right — we started painting this weekend! Here is a photo that details nicely the unfinished State of the Living Room.
When I wasn’t elbow deep in latex (sounds quite naughty) paint this weekend, I was in the kitchen. First, DC-BFF and I made white pizza. Then we tackled Angry Chicken’s whole wheat, low-fat, chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Double yum! Then, as if there was room left in our bellies, we made waffles for breakfast.
As for today, well, I’m super crabby. Perhaps because I’m at work on a federal holiday. Or perhaps because it’s like 4,689% humidity out there and my hair looks like complete crap. Nothing like a bad hair day to really ruin what would have otherwise been just an average sucky Monday.

I think holidays should be all or nothing. Either everyone gets them off or no one does. I’ll second your “it sucks to be the only one at work on a federal holiday.” Boo.

Why is it that a bad hair day can ruin your whole day? I went grocery shopping this morning and then changed clothes when I got home because I realized I’d be in a bad mood all day if I stayed in what I was wearing (it was fugly!)
Happy Columbus Day (from my office to yours).

I totally feel your pain. No one should have to work today. We should all call in sick with bad hair.

Those muffins look awesome! If it wasn’t 90 degrees outside, I might consider baking some!
Sorry you have to work today!

Oh man, you didn’t observe the discovery of AMERICA by COLUMBUS?? It’s so not PC… Minnesota schools haven’t observed it since, like, 1990, but in NYC it’s turned into a major Italian American pride day, so we’re still celebrating!

Those muffins look yummy! Are the muffin tins those plastic/rubbery ones that you can reuse?
