(And scary of course!) Our very first trick-or-treaters were 12 year old boys without costumes. It was very disappointing, but fortunately the kids got smaller and cuter as the evening wore on! We are right down the street from an elementary school, there are tons of kids in our neighborhood, so we figured we'd better stock up. We got maybe 6 kids, total. It's been the same every year since. We just buy less candy now. I think the fact that you work for a non-violence group is what made your pumpkin so scary. Love it!
