thankful for
November 21st, 2007 @ 1:14 pm | blonde moments | Post a CommentMy new morning and evening train rides are just long enough to make me nauseous, especially if I dare read anything on the ride. Of course, this has me convinced every day, twice a day, that I’m pregnant. I always feel better with some fresh air, and then I’m thankful that I’m not.
I’m thankful for my husband, who kills bugs and rubs my feet (but not at the same time).
A girlfriend and I have plans to make hand-crafted holiday cards. I’m thankful for the creative, crafty friends in my life. And the wine that fuels us!
Despite being A) gainfully employed with a job that has the word “Director” somewhere in it; B) married; and C) a homeowner, I am thankful that I am still not old enough to have to cook or host Thanksgiving dinner. Perhaps I should also be thankful for the youthfulness of our mothers.
I’m thankful for a five four day weekend (and perhaps slightly annoyed that it’s not six five, but whatever). (Edit: Also, I cannot count.)
I’m thankful that my parents haven’t disowned me even though I haven’t eaten Thanksgiving dinner with them in something like seven years.
I’m thankful that in the history of this blog, I have never once received a mean-spirited comment or email.
Whoever invented turkey bacon, I thank you, too.
And, of course, I’m thankful for all the food we will have tomorrow (most likely not turkey bacon), my family, friends, internet friends, and even my kitties when they wake me up at 6:30am by sitting on my head.
What are you thankful for?

When the family joins hands and we go around to say what we’re thankful for, the new job and a safe car are definitely at the top on my list this year. Not that that excludes my great husband or our cute doggie …

I am OH SO GRATEFUL to have two days of work off PLUS the weekend. I’m grateful that we’re going home for Christmas for three whole weeks. I’m grateful to have no car payment. I’m grateful that we bought a house with a low monthly mortgage. I’m grateful for turkey with delicious cranberry sauce and pies and mashed potatoes. I’m gratful for the world of blogging.

I am so grateful that my family shares my attitude about the holidays and that ours are totally stress-free. I am grateful that the cookies I bakes last night came out well, and that I am getting out of work at 3pm today!!

Thankful to still call you my best friend after 15 years of friendship, only three of which did we live in the same city!
Of course, thankful for my baby girl. I can’t describe how cool it is to see her light up when she spots me!

I’m thankful being able to travel. I’m thankful for my family being supportive. And I’m thankful that it’s Thursday, meaning only two days left until the weekend!
(And I’m only slightly jealous that you guys get a FIVE day weekend. See? Another reason we need Thanksgiving here!)

Happy Thanksgiving!
Just so you know – when I’m newly pregnant and I can tell much much sooner by my crazy hormones than the nausea. Feel better?
And … I take the train twice a day too
I’m Thankful that we are healthy and happy. I wish that tomorrow was Thanksgiving for us. Instead we’re getting snow warnings.

This year I am thankful for the wonderful doctors and nurses at the MSPCA Angell Memorial Animal Hospital here in Boston.
They took great care of my baby Bailey and she is now home safe and sound to spend the holidays with us.
Have a good thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for elastic waisted pajama pants. (I’ve already eaten my thanksgiving dinner, so the elastic is crucial right now)
I am also thankful that I don’t have to host Thanksgiving yet!!

I’m thankful for family who make me laugh on a regular basis and for a husband who loves me even when I can’t work the vacuum properly. Oh, and also: gravy.

Thanks for retro-inspiring my blog entry today (retro because, well, I technically wrote my post before reading yours!).
Also, if you haven’t ever received a mean comment, then either (a) you are not writing harshly enough or (b) you’ve scared the crap out of your readers and we are here to honor you. Hmmm…
