apologies in advance for ALL the CAPS
July 15th, 2008 @ 11:31 pm | blonde moments | Post a CommentAm I really so out of it that I didn’t hear until JUST NOW that the new season of Project: Runway starts tomorrow night?!? (Side note: Apparently not.) I love that show. And Heidi Klum. She should definitely play me in the movie about my life, dontcha think?
Know what I’m in the mood for tonight? Photoblogging! Stringing together sentences just seems un-fun, so here are a few images from my day week life.
My flight home last night was just before sunset and the sky was just so gorgeous. Thank goodness for my window seat.
I have joined the hordes of DC professionals who silently broadcast their position on the power ladder (which is not all that high) by checking their blackberries every 14 seconds. Yes, apparently, I have arrived. Kidding, people — in my opinion it’s nothing but a cubicle slave status symbol. I still like my iPhone way better. (Do you know how obnoxious it is to carry a crackberry AND an iphone around town? I annoy myself.)
Husband has a matching blackberry, so our house sort of looks like this nowadays. Aren’t you just DYING to come over for dinner?

Okay, so my mom told me not to blog about this. But my friend’s NEW FIANCÉ (all caps for emphasis on the exciting news) is a med student. Med students apparently get pummeled with pharmaceutical marketing whozits and whatizs just like our doctors do. And then they pass along the weirdest of the whozits and whatzits to their NEW FIANCÉE’s friends. Which is how I came to own an IUD lapel pin for my birthday. Shown actual size!
Last but not least, I’ve been spending some of my birthday money to help accessorize my bedroom. Do you think these things go together? How should I arrange them on the dresser/wall? I need a plan.

I am happy to report (from my personal experience), that the Mirena IUD (while, yes, it is that size), is NOT actually made of sterling silver. Whew.
I LOVE (notice the ALL CAPS!) that tree – it is a jewelry stand? Either way, where did you get it – because I NEED IT NOW.
I’m going to love all that stuff in your bedroom (that came out creepy, it is not intended as such); you have such great style!

I”m not sure about the arrangement (not so good with interior design!), but I love the things you chose.
Too funny about the lapel pin! I think you should wear it just to see if you get any reactions!!

Gaaah. Just lost a VERY detailed comment. Ok, I need a sketchpad to properly explain this, but I’m frustrated over losing my comment, so I’m just gonna summarize for now and sketch tomorrow.
I like the idea of a mirror to one side of center with 3 circley things on the other side of center. I don’t like the idea of a mirror dead center with 2 circley things on each side. Use the statue and the flowers to play with height and depth, and reflect one of them in your mirror.
Good luck! Can’t wait to see the pics!

when I say “mirror” I mean the largest of the mirrors….clearly should not try and give detailed anything at 2:15 in the morning. Comment Clarity: Fail.

Such a cute IUD…I am glad your blog is discussing sex ed. You are a good democrat.
I like the mirrors leaning. Hanging may look like the dining room?
Do you still like your iphone if you have to carry that other thing now? I’m overstimulated just thinking about it.
Good luck in the HEAT today!

photo blogs = <3
mirrors – i think if you found some sort of nice arrangement on the wall – mahaps have the larger one in the center? I have a vision in my head and like Heidikins am having a hard time describing it. M’eh…
fiancé had a blackberry and an iphone, and i have a blackberry…yesterday upon leaving his job he had to hand in oldskool clunky blackberry in. Think…pull out antenna…so we’re down to a 2 phone household

I don’t want to jinx it, but I think AS is getting me an iPhone for my birthday next week.
(!!!!!!!!!!!!)
That Mirena lapel pin is stylish AND informative! It should look nice on your winter jacket (next to the Obama ‘08 pin, of course).

I love the mirrors! I’m terrible at interior design and have no ideas for you, but I love the color scheme and am eager to hear what others suggest.

I choked on my tea when I figured out the lapel pin. OMG – what will they think of next! Thank you for the laugh.
I love the shapes of things for your master and the white will look so pretty against the gray wall – but am of no use in an idea of how to arrange. The little tree looks like something that was an accessory in the HGTV Design Start kitchen (from last week? – I caught the end of a re-run on Monday).

oh i love all the new accessories, you seriously have the cutest stuff. is that tree thing a necklace hanger? i love mine!
as for the mirrors you could put them up together or spread them out around your room, not quite sure. you are definitely the amazing designer so i would say go with your gut on that one

Well, seeing I haven’t had cable for over 2 weeks now … and also seeing that Bravo has severely cut back on advertising for Project Runway … it took a good friend reminding me yesterday for me to realize it’s on this week. WTF???
Love how you’ve spent your birthday money. Will you come decorate my house? I need some help with the finer details.

I love love love that silver tree. Maybe more than love. I want it really big and maybe less shiny in my apartment right now. Either inbetween my couch and window or couch and kitchen. Or in my bedroom.
Jealous!
