love & hate hump day
love: reading all the fun BlogHer posts.
hate: missing out on all the fun. Maybe next year?
love: got to spend part of my weekend with my BFF and her cute cute cute baby!
hate: one day is never enough time, ya know? how could it be?
love: which is why I am SO THRILLED to be going home for a whole week next month. I successfully lobbied for the time off before my “90 day probationary period” is up!
hate: anyone want to housesit for me?
love: fresh cut flowers in the house, just to brighten things up a little.
hate: broken garbage disposal. Where is my dad, the Master Fixer of All Things, when I need him?
love: that Mad Men got so many Emmy nominations, because it convinced me to start watching it
double love: that they did a Mad Men Season 1 marathon on Sunday and I discovered it just in time to catch the whole thing on the DVR.
hate: husband hasn’t been home to watch it with me, and I really want to wait to watch it together. So I wait.
love: these lovely branch hooks
hate: my local store doesn’t have them in stock; do I really want to pay for shipping?
love: Hey, guess what? Jackie is married! Erika had another baby boy! Laurel‘s birthday is on Thursday! Aly is coming to America! (and also has a birthday coming up) Oliver turned two! Jen has been freed from her crappy housecleaning contract! JP won the new blog design! Zandria successfully led a session at BlogHer! Kerri‘s in skinny shorts!
hate: Did I miss your big news? Leave it in the comments, along with your loves and hates, my lovelies.

I started a new job today. I love the fact that I don’t have to be to work until 9:30 and it’s only a five minute drive, but I hate the fact that I don’t get off until 6:30 and well it’s a new job so I know pretty much nothing!!

Woo-hoo! Thanks for the shout-out! I’m so proud of myself for making it through the session okay.
What’s this about needing a house sitter? You guys don’t have any animals or anything, do you? (Cats?) If you need some help. let me know…that’s what pals are for!

I would totally mind your babies for you! (If I wasn’t on a different continent, that is.)

Love: You for the link. And for posting about the contest. Thanks!
Hate: That I have to make decisions. I think I’m a little indecisive.
Love: Earning a paycheck.
Hate: The stress affiliated with said paycheck. People are petty so I don’t think I’ll be hired for the new director position I was told about yesterday.
Love: I don’t have to go to the office today because I’m gong to Altoona for a baseball game.
Hate: That I have to drive back to Philly after the 7:05 game. It’s going to be a long night!

Love: All kinds of writing projects are coming out of the woodwork for me–some are even paid. Hooray!
Hate: They’re not paid enough that I can quit my day job. When am I going to find the time to do all this writing??
Love: The beach.
Hate: I don’t have enough vacation time to actually GO to the beach.

Hmm, no news for me! Status quo 4 EVA! I am so jealous that you successfully campaigned to break your probation.
Love: That I am visiting my sister in nine days!
Hate: DC will probably be a sweaty swamp around then, yes?

Love: Project Runway is BACK ON, BABY!
Hate: It’s late July, in East Texas. This is the equivalent of living in a steamy lava pool.
Love: YOGA!
Hate: That my chips and salsa addiction WILL. NOT. DIE.

Love: That it’s my birthday tomorrow… hey, you took that one!
Hate: That I’m too overwhelmed with packing to fully enjoy it.
Love: I am 99% sure that AS bought me an iPhone.
Hate: There is a 1% chance that I am wrong…

It’s sort of old news…but I’m in my new house. And I’m loving it.
(It helped that I cleaned it from TOP TO BOTTOM last weekend.)

Hey, I have to say thanks for the shout-out! I read this just before my vacation, and I was all, “Eeep! Janet knows my name! I’m popular!” Or, something like that. Heehee. Your’s was one of the first blogs that inspired ME to start blogging, so it was flattering to be mentioned in one of your posts!
Yes, you’re famous to me. Cool, right? Right.
In other news, your BFF’s baby is ADORABLE. Crazy adorable.
