nsfw: not safe for work or for walking

This morning I took a major spill on my way down a Metro escalator that resulted in full-on sobbing and panic at the Metro station and a horrendous purple ass bruise a few hours later. Here is what it looks like now:

Oh come on. Did you think I was actually going to show the entire world wide webs my butt? Well, maybe if it looked like this:

I think I found a solution. Here is my bruise (well, one half of it) on…another ass. A totally-safe-for-work ass.

P.S. Before you feel too badly for me, you should know that I just booked plane tickets to Paris and Sardinia. OH YES I DID. I plan to be bruise-free by June.

    That is a serious bruise, yo. Yikes.

    Falling as an adult is so… SHOCKING. Not only does it hurt, but it’s just so unexpected. It’s not something we do.

    Doh! I read your tweet that said you had a nasty spill. And tears. Not okay.

    I once threw up in an Atlanta Marta station. Full-on splatter all over my work clothes and everything.

    I fell down the stairs in my own house a few weeks ago and had to bite back the tears. In public… I definitely would have been crying. Sorry, dear! This is why we all should have had today off. Ice is dangerous.
