worst. paparazzo. ever.
In the last week, me and my trusty iPhone have had a few close encounters of the celebrity kind. Unfortunately, my iPhone, despite being shiny, sleek, and lustworthy, has a HORRIBLE camera. Crappy focus, no flash, and the slowest shutter speed known to man.
For example, can you identify the celebrity in this photo?

Yeah, I didn’t think so. Here’s a hint: Look directly to the left of the rainbow umbrella:

Okay, I’ll give you a little more help:

I know it doesn’t even look like Angie a woman, but I swear, it’s her. She is in DC filming Salt, and they were shooting a chase scene on the escalators at Archives Metro station today.
(Normally I don’t go to Archives station, except today I had jury duty, and I got chosen! But that’s a post for another day…)
Okay, here’s another really bad celebrity pic:

Ten bonus points go to anyone who doesn’t live in DC who can tell me the people in the photo. You DC folks should know these people so NEGATIVE ten points if you don’t know.
It’s President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, and the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Err, Nancy Pelosi’s hair. The Honorable Nancy Pelosi’s hair.
The sad thing is, I was standing right next to them, and this is the best photo I could get! Perhaps because I was sort of trying to be sly, since we were at a private event and I didn’t think they’d appreciate my iPhone up in their faces. I don’t want to get a dead fish sent to my house.
Your turn now: Who has a good, recent celeb sighting story for me? Entertain me with whatever you’ve got so I have comments to read tomorrow on my breaks during the trial! (!!!)

I’m sorry but there are NO celebrities in Colorado Springs. Unless you count like… former celebrated heads of large Christian organizations who are disgraced and kicked out of the state for doing meth with male prostitutes or something. And it wasn’t even me that saw him, it was my husbands cousin. My life post-radio station is so lame!!!!! (But one time I hugged Willie Nelson, back when I was cool.) (And he was really nice, but boy did he feel wrinkly.)

I saw the blonde doctor from nip/tuck [sadly, I haven't gotten to that series on netflix yet, and I'm just not someone who starts in the middle of a series!] at LAX at baggage claim holding his little daughter. She was ADORABLE. But I had absolutely no camera [hello, airport?] so I don’t even have a Transgendered form of evidence.

Yay for Madam Speaker… one time BO walked right by me in DC (you were there) and I was too busy scarfing down cheese to look up, but that’s all I got…
famous people make me nervous.

Apparently, Brad Pitt was also there talking to Nancy Pelosi and others. The article in the NYT had her sounding a little geeked which I thought was funny.
When I was in AmeriCorps, I went to a gathering-type thing where Al Gore spoke and got to shake his hand and talk to him. That was neat.
His hands, however, were disconcertingly soft. Hmmm.

I knew it was Rahm Emanuel and I don’t live in DC!
I never see any celebrities. They filmed an episode of “Dawson’s Creek” at my college, but I was sick and bedridden the entire time so I missed IT ALL. BITTER.

Look at you, Ms. Wannabe-Celebrity-Stalker! Hahaha! Still, it’s always fun to see these people no matter where you live. I’m jealous that a few people I know had an Angelina Jolie sighting!

I saw/”met” Patch Adams this week… you know, from that movie (I never saw it either). He looked at me and I said “hi”. Best celeb encounter ever.

I have no exciting stories…I didn’t Sundance this year which means no fancy celebs sitings for me.
Wait! That’s wrong! I saw Marie Osmond at the grocery store…that counts as like 1.2 on the richter scale of cool celebrities, right? Maybe a 1.5?

My husband and I visited NYC this past summer. We were strolling through Central Park and stumbled upon the filming of “Bride Wars”. While he thought it was silly, I was completely star-struck and made him take a gazillion photos of Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson for hours while they did a million takes running through the park.
Then I got to go see the movie and remember the exact scenes.
How cool is it that you got to see Angelina?!

I was in West Hollywood in January, when my friends and I spotted Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette eating dinner. They walked right by us, as we were sitting by the back door, to escape inconspicuously. Of course, a ridiculous amount of paparazzi were waiting outside. They were kind of frightening! (The paparazzi. Not Jen and Courtney. They were stunning!

Oh, the daffodils that were buried by the winter storm! I just saw that on your sidebar. I wonder if they will still bloom? You need to let us know! I have daffodils on my desk today, waiting patiently (impatiently) for them to open!

My brother almost got picked up by Ted Nugent. Not like, at a bar. He was around 10 years old. It was a storm. He was right up the road from home when a limousine pulls up and it’s The Nuge. My brother didn’t get in, though. I mean…that guy’s a nutball.
Not sure if I beliefe the brutha or not, though.
He does have an active imagination.
But it’d be stupid to lie about something like that.

This totally doesn’t count because *everyone* was in DC for the Inauguration, but I was walking from the ceremony towards Union Station, and got all giddy because OMG! there was the new limo, so I got my camera out to take a picture because I’m a big nerd like that. Anyway, that could totally count as a celebrity sighting in and of itself, but no! As I was taking that picture, my cousin starts slapping at my arm because he’s speechless because there’s AHNOLD. But I was way more excited to see Maria Shriver, though of course I couldn’t get a decent photo of her, no, I had to settle for The Terminator himself.

Oh, Rahm Emanuel! <3
I live in Melbourne, and for most of my childhood, lived pretty much next door to Geoffrey Rush (actor!). I used to say hi to him all the time, used to sit next to him on the train, etc.

I also have a very shady far away cellphone picture of Don Cheadle. The annoying thing was he was only 5 or 6 seats away, but you still can’t tell! I was trying to be surreptitious about it too.
Nice shot of Rahmbo. Such a hottie.
