love & hate: san francisco
April 27th, 2009 @ 10:15 pm | love & hate | Post a Commentlove: a free trip to San Francisco, as long as I work every day while I’m here
hate: this hardly leaves me any daytime hours to go exploring
love: my meetings took me over both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge today — stunning!
hate: my rental car is a PT Cruiser — NOT stunning!
love: got a great rate on a cute little boutique hotel (free wine at 5pm every day in the lobby!)
hate: very aggressive begging people on the street outside the hotel (like, they will curse you out when you don’t give them money)
love: friends took me out for sushi two nights in a row
hate: it might be time to branch out to new food before I get mercury poisoning
love: walking up and down the hills of San Francisco = best butt workout you could ask for
hate: just wondering if we are all going to die of swine flu, and am I at an increased risk because I’ve been in three major hub airports this week?
love: watching TV from the hotel bed, feels like a treat because we outlaw television in the bedroom at home
hate: sleeping all alone without my man and my cats. Okay, I kind of don’t miss the cats sleeping on my head.
love: drove past the row of houses from the Full House opening theme (see photo here)
hate: have so much of the city left to see – I only have 36 hours to go!

How fun! Do you get to eat out at all? There are SO many great places out there; my head always got full when I flew out for work.
Today, I love that it’s a comfortable 65 degrees in the morning. However, I hate that it will be 90 degrees when I drive home. Blech.

I agree that it feels like a treat to watch TV in bed since we don’t have one either.

Love: San Francisco
Love: That you are in San Francisco
Hate: That *I* am not in San Francisco, eating sushi and crushing on my favorite city.

Love San Francisco. Haven’t been there in years, though. Last time I was there involved a convertible Saab with the top down and heater blowing on high as we whipped through the city streets and over bridges galore. What fun!

I’ve only been to SF once and it was only for a few hours. I would love to go back and visit!

There is a really good tapas place that you should go to called Colibri Mexican Bistro on Geary Street. So good! And the aggressiveness of the homeless there surprised me as well – and I’m from NYC! I’m going back twice in the next two months, I can’t wait to do some more exploring!

I do love San Francisco too–always have! But the beggar problem seems out of of control. So mine is love San Francisco and all that it has to offer and it is so beautiful. Hate that we have such a homeless problem in this country, but what to do about that, I have no idea.
