(That’s me in Sardinia. bliss. go there)

Hello, I’m Janet. Nice to meet you.

I’m a lady in my late 20s living in a 100-year-old rowhouse in Washington, DC with my brilliant husband and our cat Howard. I work in progressive advocacy/politics, and recently achieved a small dream when I took a new job that allowed jeans in the workplace. I aim high, obviously.

Love is Blonde has been around since the fall of 2005, but I highly suggest you don’t go quite so far back in the archives. You can probably learn a lot about me by reading my year-end reviews from 2007 and 2006. Sadly, I never did 2008 and 2009, but most days I’m just happy this site is still up and running.

I love my readers and all the friends I’ve made in this crazy, fun world of blogging.

Loves: my family, vintage fabric, my wedding, The New Yorker, dipping my fries in my Frosty, Martha Stewart, footrubs, wrap shirts & dresses, peep-toe shoes, very slowly decorating my house, babies, my mother-in-law’s cooking, side ponytails, candlelight, good manners, Etsy, my DVR

Hates: eggplant, loud commercials, aggressive drivers, humidity, fluorescent lighting, that I can’t pull off skinny jeans

Oh hey, you can now also find me on Twitter: twitter.com/loveisblonde
