my two betsys

My friend Betsy from Colorado alerted me to this CNN story tonight:

While New Orleans officials were saying that Hurricane Katrina’s death toll would likely be in the thousands, the city’s animal centers fared better, with only a pair of river otters reported dead at the Audubon Zoo and a whooping crane lost at the Audubon Center for Research of Endangered Species.

Well, I guess that answers our question from the other night. But where the story gets really interesting is here:

A crocodile from the research center was missing, said Rhett A. Butler, a conservationist and founder of the Web site mongabay.com.

Ok, so a croc is missing. That’s not so good. But what I am really worried about is what crazy southern lady named her poor defenseless son Rhett Butler. I mean he has gotta use the “A.” just to deflect the inevitable comparisons. Poor guy.

Then, my friend Betsy from Macon, Georgia tells me that her neighbors down the street have two kids named Rhett and Tara! Ack — don’t people like that have Mothers-in-Law to tell them that is a BAD IDEA?

Side note: Look for a new design coming soon!!! I know you will be on the edge of your seats.
