it must be love, part 386
December 11th, 2005 @ 11:03 am | love | Post a CommentMe: “Are you sure you want to marry me even though I can be a little bit crazy and OCD about things?”
Andrew: “Yes, honey, but sometimes you do make me wonder…”
Me: “I am really only OCD about three things, though! 1. Ziploc bags; 2. Popping zits; and 3. Everything else!”
Andrew: “You are really, really strange.”
(Note: If you don’t know my OCD-ness about Ziploc bags, it’s that I insist on washing and reusing them instead of throwing them away. I always tell Andrew to treat them just like they are Tupperware when he does the dishes. When my mother found this out, she gave Andrew a giant box of baggies for Christmas under the condition that each only be used once.)
Update: I forgot to mention that today is the one month anniversary of getting engaged. I am finally used to wearing this ring, I think.
We get to show it off at a holiday party this afternoon, too! Yay!

Janet you might be crazy… how many times do you reuse the baggies?? I sometimes use ziplock baggies to pick up my Maltese’s poop…. would you reuse in this instance??
Congrats on one month!!!

ok, I do have my limits.
I would not reuse for poop. I do reuse for things like peanut-butter sandwiches, crackers, other non-gooey things.

My Mom ALWAYS washes the baggies in the dishwasher and then lets them dry out on the counter top. But she does this because she is CHEAP. I am surprised to hear that someone else does this.
Congrats on the anniversary.

Please do not reuse baggies that had frozen/ uncooked meat in them! I had a roommate who did this and them let them dry on my wooden drying rack.
