painting and planning
January 21st, 2006 @ 9:11 pm | creative, wedding | Post a CommentI am back and fully recovered from my office’s annual three day retreat in rural Virginia. I have to admit I work for a pretty cool place when I love my coworkers more at the end of the three days than I did at the beginning. Well, most of them anyway.
Andrew and I slept for a full twelve hours last night (glorious!), and this afternoon I met up with two coworkers and some of their friends for some pottery painting in Cleveland Park.
I made this pretty tile, which I may or may not ever use, but it was only $7 and you can bring your own wine! What could be better than cheap arts and crafts, wine, girlfriends, and sushi?
Well, maybe one thing.
Like finally and really and truly having a definite time and place for my wedding! Woo hoo! On the afternoon of November 11, 2006, Andrew and I will get married on the beach in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
After an admittedly slow start, here are all the wedding things we have accomplished:
Picked Date
Picked Location (and paid the deposit, Thanks, Mom and Dad!)
Hired Wedding Planner
Drafted Catering Menu
Ordered Save the Date cards
Ordered Bridesmaids’ Dresses
Almost Finalized Invite List
Lost 5 pounds (crucial first step to buying my own dress!)

Hey woman, I just stumbled onto your blog, through shelton free press. I love it. It’s so pretty and that pottery class thing looks like a great time. I wanna find one now here in my are. I’ll definitly be back. Good luck on the wedding planning.

That is such a perfect time to have a wedding in Mexico, not too hot, and after hurricane season! It’s going to be beautiful!

Congratulations on all of the wedding decisions. I’m sure it’s such a huge relief to have some of the bigger details set in stone. I can’t wait to hear more!
And I am so jealous of you getting to paint your own pottery. I was just talking about that this weekend. I hope we can bring wine to the place we plan on going.

Congrats on picking a date! For me picking a date and putting down a deposit was one of the first things that made the wedding feel real. Mexico in Nov will be beautiful!

Your wedding is going to be bigger and better than Tom and Katie’s wedding (which I believe may never happen!) A beach in Mexico sounds so perfect!!! Congrats on getting things rolling.
And I love the tile you made. I have always wanted to do that. Your’s turned out super cute! I am very impressed!
