forget cupid, it’s wedding mania here
February 14th, 2006 @ 10:19 pm | wedding | Post a CommentA couple of boring updates, luckily not about cats…
Andrew and I didn’t really celebrate V-day because he has a hockey game late tonight that kept us from going out. That’s okay with me - he did buy me pink roses at the grocery store this weekend! (We are cheap, can you tell?)
I have been doing some mega wedding planning lately and am feeling quite proud of myself! It was just last month when we picked the date and location. Since then, I have interviewed six photographers, three wedding planners, and a DJ and have a plan to do my own flowers. I’ve gathered all addresses, sent save the date cards, and created a wedding website.
I hear about couples who invite like 400 people to their weddings. Perhaps the key to our success is that we are keeping it very small and simple. Also, Excel spreadsheets.
I’m going dress shopping in 40 days — yikes! I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last 40 days and if I can lose 7 more in the next 40, I will be okay. Unfortunately, my body seems to be best buds with my fat these days and they really don’t want to part with each other. If anyone wants to send some metabolism my way, you know where to find me!

Congrats on all of the wedding planning. The big day will be here before you know it and the sooner you have all the details planned, the sooner you can relax. Dress shopping will be so much fun. Don’t forget to take your camera–even if they say you can’t take pictures!

Sounds like things are coming together.
I swear we invited like 700 people to my first wedding. My ex mother in law seriously went through the phone book to make her guest list. She knew THAT many people. (The horror of small town living!)
Keeping it small is the WAY TO GO!! You’re gonna love it.
Good job on the big weight loss. You’re doing a great job. Can’t wait to hear about dress shopping. That’s the most fun.

Oooh, wedding dress shopping is so much fun! Except for how expensive they are. And how none of them fit. And the sizes are not consistent at all. Okay, never mind, it’s not that much fun…

can you motivate me to lose 7 lbs… thats awesome! I agree with Isabel, small weddings are the way to go. I kind of wish I had a destination wedding, although I loved everything about the wedding I did have. Maybe next time around (just kidding - Aongus is a keeper)
