she bangs!
March 20th, 2006 @ 9:54 pm | domestic, meow | Post a CommentI think it’s safe to say that our couch has a permanent and distinct imprint of my body in it, seeing as I’ve spent a good portion of the last 48 hours laying on it sick and moaning. Approximately 5 hours my sick day at home today was spent watching A Baby Story, or some spinoff of it. I even got to see a barely blurred out water birth - apparently Discovery Health Channel gets away with more cookie shots than TLC. Once I sufficiently wanted a baby myself, I had to switch to Amalah’s favorite show, Starting Over. By the time Oprah came on, sick or not sick, there was no way I could take another hour of TV.
I made a stop by the Social Safeway, because apparently the $300 I spent on groceries last weekend might not be enough for the onslaught of houseguests arriving in two days. I know I only have to feed my sister and one other very petite person, but I have enough to feed a high school football team. I think I am having a bit of a yogurt obsession, because I bought 15 small flavored yogurts, one tub of plain yogurt, and a tub of frozen yogurt. So really, if any of you out there are worried about a yeast infection, please come over. (I am not, but rather just like yogurt lately. And maybe my guests will want some? You can never have too much food for guests!)
Then, I got a haircut. And bangs! I figure the wedding is far enough out that if I don’t want them, I can grow them out. But I think I like.

And the cats? They sleep ALL DAY. Seriously, the three of us didn’t move an inch between 8 AM and 4 PM.

If I can handle cats, I can handle a baby right? They both just sleep, eat, and poop! Or did I perhaps watch one too many episodes of a Baby Story today? Help!

Love the bangs! And also, you can really tell you have lost weight in your face. You’re looking fabulous!

Did you put on that turtleneck for the purpose of posing for your blog?:)
Welcome to the Bang family. Let’s compare notes when it comes time for self trimming.

Kelly: you are my new favorite person for telling me I look skinny. That’s definitely the way to win me over
Lex: I actually wore the turtleneck to the haircut, which wasn’t very smart in the end, because I think it just collected hair and was itchy. Yes, I am going to need trimming help because I am pretty sure I am too cheap to pay them $6 to do it.

Your bangs look so cute. I must admit that I am usually 100% anti-bangs but they look so cute on some people that I have decided to only be 80% anti-bangs. In fact, I have bang envy because curly hair does NOT equal bangs.
Also, I am all about plain, fat free yogurt with anything thrown in. Current favorites: kiwi, shredded wheat bites, or maple syurp. yum.
Feel better soon!

Love the hair. I myself am a huge fan of bangs, especially since I have a “fivehead” instead of a forehead.
Do your cats like their Turboscratcher? (that’s what I call that round thing with a scratcher and a ball in a track).
Do you have Trader Joe’s in DC? They have this “greek style” yogurt there that is really creamy and not weepy like some yogurts get.

I have heard good things about that TJ yogurt! Must try.

Sarah: Glad I can at least move your bangs position by 20%. But I do understand the plight of the curly-haired. You don’t wannt go around looking like Minnie Driver did a few years ago.
Amie: Hugo is obsessed with that toy. He likes to french kiss it/drool on it, roll around on it, play with the ball a little, and then nap right on top of it.
And that greek style yogurt sounds really good, especially if it’s anything like what they serve at my fav Afghan Restaurants! (Alexa can attest to these)

Oh, so sorry that you are sick. And even more sorry that you are stuck with crappy TV. You must stop watching anything related to babies. It will take over your mind. And it’s not a good thing!!
I love the bangs. I hope they stay in place (mine NEVER stay in place and may push me over the edge)!
And you are looking HOTT!!
Hooray for houseguests!
