couldn’t they just grant us an extra three hours each day?
April 4th, 2006 @ 10:07 pm | miscellany | Post a CommentMy schedule is all messed up this week. First, we have daylight savings to deal with, and losing that hour always takes some adjusting. I end up staying up later because it’s light outside at night now. Glorious, glorious light when I walk out of the office every night!
Plus, Andrew started a new job this week and he has to be there an hour earlier than his old job. Which means we both get to hear the alarm go off an hour earlier.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that with this new jobs comes his very own Blackberry (aka crackberry)? We have now officially joined the ranks of the DC professional class. Or wait, he has, because I am still not cool enough for one, thank god. Unfortunately, the price he has to pay is working twelve hour days. Bah.
So back to my point. We are getting up earlier and staying up later. Maybe sleep is overrated though, because I still went to the gym and cooked yummy dinners the last two nights and survived 6 hours of meetings today. Let’s just hope I can keep it up without picking up a caffeine habit.
Side Note 1: If you are not watching the train wreck of a show that is Whose Wedding is it Anyway, you are so missing out. Even better than Dr. 90210, I swear. Train. Wreck.
Side Note 2: I wore pants to work today one size smaller than usual! Shutup that they were full price at Ann Taylor LOFT, and I never ever pay full price there, and shutup that maybe they were a little tight in the tush, they were still a size smaller!
Side Note 3: (Yes, you may have noticed that this is my lame way fooling you into thinking I can string together a coherent narrative. Not working? Blame lack of sleep.) I ordered the dress today!

Hey there missy!!! Congrats on the pants! Always a great feeling. I can’t wait to see a picture of your dress! Are you going to post one or does it need to be top secret? Very excited for you.
Ashlie
p.s. Joel and I bought a house! And? Julie had her baby!!! Pics on the blog…

1. I love Whose Wedding is it Anyway. I especially love the one that had the couple who fought all the time and then called the wedding off really close to the wedding date. Awesome. Can’t you just cancel the show? I’m sure it’s really uplifting for all of the bride-to-be viewers!
2. I heart Ann Taylor Loft and am so proud of you for paying full price and looking so hot! woo hoo!
3. Hooray for ordering such a gorgeous dress! The wedding will be here before you know it! (That’s a good thing)

Andrew gets a neighbor puppy and a blackberry in one week? You get new fancy pants and a Spring 2006 line dress? You two are certainly moving up in the world!

OH MY GOSH! Your wedding dress is amazing!!!! I have a great idea. Maybe we can channel a “Friends” rerun and sit around in our wedding dresses eating junk food. The possibilities are endless…..
p.s. You may have drooled over my coach bag, but I have gone past the droll stage and will now be kidnapping the dress. Yummy!

Yay for Ashlie for becoming a homeowner! Maybe us DC girls should move to Baltimore where we can afford to buy? Oh wait, I probably still can’t…
Sarah - I missed that episode! Shoot! My favorite so far is the really awful couple who just didn’t pay any of their vendors so the planner had to fork out $20K of her own money on the day of the wedding and she was LIVID. Who does that?
Oh, and about the ATLoft clothes - just yesterday I got a 20% off coupon in the mail so today I am going to try to return everything and buy it again. HOW CHEAP AM I? But seriously? I can save like $30!
Lex - this is a good point you make. Good thing you were there to help wih the purchase that started it all off….
Ashlie - glad you like it…I think a Friends-ish party would be hilarious and please count me in!

Hi Janet,
I’ve missed reading your blog lately but glad I can catch up again! Your life is like how mine might sorta be like in 5 or 6 years down the road when I have a domestic partnership. Btw - lovely dress, great taste…it’s very becoming of a Chi Omega…:) Look forward to seeing some online photos of the wedding.
Will you put my blog website up as one of your side links? Pretty please?
Huugs!
