My wedding website tells me that Thursday marks 100 days until “I Do.” What better way to commemorate the countdown to the occasion to send out the invitations? You know, so we actually have some guests there to share in the fun!

Before I can send them, I must stuff, seal, and most importantly, address them. I’ve enlisted a dear friend who is known for her fab and funky handwriting to help me out tomorrow afternoon. First, I had to do some practicing myself.

So, which font should I go with tomorrow? Assuming, of course, that it’s possible to actually replicate any of these in 24 hours, which might be asking too much. (Remember that whatever I pick has to go on the envelope of these invitations.)

Perhaps you’ve caught on that I just repeated myself with the same two-ish fonts over and over? Okay, I admit it. I’m no professional. But this is all I’ve got in my portofolio. Should I go with one of these or buy my friend lots of shiny things in an effort to con her into doing the whole list for me?

  1. For you, I vote fore Ms. Quimby or Ms. Cruise. Personally, with my recent addressing experience, I’d go shopping for your friend. =) Have I mentioned that our wedding was the BEST. DAY. OF. MY. LIFE. Three weeks later, there hasn’t been a day to top it yet. I loved my wedding. I hope yours is fabulous too!

  2. PS
I don’t recommend golfing with my vote (”I vote FORE…”) Sigh.

  3. I like Elvis/Faboulous people. I am probably alone in this opinion but I imagine that as long as the handwriting is nice (as any of the above are) people aren’t going to really notice that much. They’re more likely to notice (like I was) when they receive an invitation that looks like it was addressed by a class of 1st graders.

  4. College roommate oor fabulous people. The college roommate one is like my handwriting so I’m biased.

  5. I am a big Elvis fan and actually I like the Paris Hilton, but then again, Ms. Quimby is neat looking and I like Alley Cat … gosh, I’m glad I am not making that decision!!! What is the invite font?

  6. Elvis looks the most like your normal fancy handwriting, so its probably the most repeatable. I think whatever you choose will be beautiful - keep in mind YOU were the beautiful handwriting friend I wanted to address my invitations. And besides, as important as it seems now (and I remember how important it was to me) the envelope is the part that people throw away! So don’t worry too much about it.

  7. I like the Fabulous people one…

(did you seriously write all of these by hand?? Your handwriting is beautiful. Mine looks like a 3 year old!)

  8. I kind of like Ramona Quimby…it’s nice, but light and fun, like a beach wedding should be!

  9. I just started reading your site - so I should probably only get like 1/8 of a vote or something silly, but I totally like the Ramona Quimby one. :)

  10. I like Fabulous People or Architect. You’re so talented!

  11. I vote for Elvis Presley. It’s reminiscent of the font on the invitation (which are lovely, by the way.)
I paid a big dumby (is that how you spell that word?) to do mine and she misspelled names and had to re-do a bunch. I ended up running out of envelopes. Argh.

  12. I’m voting for Elvis! Pretty and consistent!

  13. Elvis!

  14. I saw Ramona Quimby, but also agree that they all look great!

  15. Shoot I meant I vote (not “saw”), I’m holding the baby and typing if that’s any excuse.

  16. Okay wait, did you do these or are they computer generated? Because if you did them, then YOU should be charging people for your services.

I like the college roommate. But does it “go” with the invites??

  17. Casting my vote for Elvis. This was a neat entry.
