sexy or suicidal?

On my lunch hour, I bought these shoes for the wedding. Am I crazy to think that I’ll want to dance in 4-inch heels that are tenuously tied to my ankles with satin cord? Or am I going to be the damn sexiest-shoed bride ever? Discuss.

  1. Speaking only from my experience I will say this, you will wear them for about five minutes. Are you planning on wearing these to walk down the aisle, which I assume will be made of sand? If so I say forget the shoes entirely and go barefoot. At the reception throw on some flipflops. Much cheaper, and so much more comfortable. No one sees your shoes anyway. I wore white Old Navy flipflops for my entire wedding. The only time that I put on the $90 Guess shoes that I bought was for my first dance.

  2. Since they are wedges made of cork, they will probably be very comfy and (obviously) ultra sexy. By the end of the night you may kick them off but oh how lovely they will look in all of the pictures!!! Fabulous use of your lunch hour.

  3. Those shoes are H.O.T.
But they might be a tad uncomfortable…

(Whatever. Have a couple glasses of champagne and go barefoot.)

  4. Janet,
You know I speak from experience and that I’m totally honest here, but no. No no no. Unless you are a professional 4 inch heel wearer, no — especially if you are not walking on an entirely flat surface.

  5. Since they are wedges made of cork, they will be comfortable enough and (obviously) ultra sexy. Even if you end up kicking them off at the end of the night, they will look so great in the pictures! What a great use of your lunch hour!

  6. They a sex-ay and you should keep them no matter what but ankle tie shoes always end up cutting off my circulation and then, if I tie them looser, they just end up falling down…

I say flip flops or barefoot…maybe? You’ve seen my shoes, I am probably not the one to give an opinion…

  7. I danced in tall cork shoes with a rope-like strap this summer and was just fine. Hot, but good back up plan is required.

  8. I say, all of the above :) cuuuute shoes!

  9. Just looking at them is making my legs hurt. I’m with Alexa — bring a back-up!!! Can’t wait to hear how they work out (or don’t)!

  10. I vote: sexy! You go Bride!

  11. I suggest some back-up flip flops just in case. I swore up and down that my wedding shoes were comfortalbe, but then I had my sparkly white flip flops on faster then you can say “I do” after the ceremony.

  12. They are very cute, but trust me when I say no. Really and truly: no. You are going to have sweaty feet, you won’t be walking on entirely level surfaces and you really, really want to feel not only comfortable, but secure. If the heel were lower and wider, I’d say sure, but with a tall, narrow heel? I’d be kind of worried. Wear them for a bit. See how comfortable you are in them walking over all kinds of surfaces and not being able to see your feet (because we all watch our feet when we’re in stilettos to make sure we’re walking correctly at least for the first few blocks.)

  13. Hmm… I see to be having problems posting responses so I hope this one goes through. I really, really like they. They are totally hot. But. I would be very leery of wearing them to dance in and walk over all types of uneven surfaces in a heel that high without much support. I would wear them a lot now and see how comfortable you are, and have a backup pair nearby. The only problem is that you’ll want your dress hemmed wearing the proper shoes…

  14. I didn’t read the rest of the comments…but I think they are very lovely. Very lovely indeed.

  15. I say, Yes! They are fabulous!

But maybe practice for a few hours in your house this week, just to be sure.

  16. NO!! It’ll be bad! I donno if the others voting yes have seen your fabulous dress. But with your dress…these cork/wood colour thing wouldnt look great.
    :)

  17. Practice wearing those shoes!

They look very unstable and it will be very difficult walking on sand in those. Definitely go for flip flops or go barefoot when you walk down the aisle. I also recommend bringing a back up pair of shoes that you know will be more comfortable.

  18. Those are soooo CUTE. Not sure whether they go with the dress - but I think a wedge would be easier to walk in on sand than a heel. If they aren’t perfect for the dress - they will be for the honeymoon! They are totally smokin’. I want a pair.
