That I get to see so many friends and family members all in the same (gorgeous) place at the same time. Excited to laugh and dance and surf and marry the man I love. And I’m really damn excited to be able to finally wear my wedding band.
Do you know how hard it is to have diamonds sitting on your kitchen table NOT being worn? Just sitting there sparkling and shining begging to spend a few moments on your hand?
So hard that one day a few weekends ago I caved in and let those little diamonds get their way. I wore them on a trip to Costco.
I figured that Costco was the perfect place for my premarital indiscretion. It’s full of zillions upon zillions of bright overhead lights that make my rings “shine like the top of the Chrysler building.” Plus, I was pretty much guaranteed to pass through the aisles anonymously. That guy I passed in the Giant Bags of Frozen Meat Aisle? He had no idea I wasn’t really married.
Every few days I try it on again, but just for a moment, because I want it to feel really special when Andrew puts it on my finger and I never have to take it off again.
Absolutely stunning.

That is a gorgeous ring! I’d be dying to wear it too — not just for the bling but also because it means you’re actually married.

My husband barred me from my wedding band after I put it on to see how it all looked together and I was rather reluctant to let it go.
Me: But my engagement ring… it’s lonely!
Him: (taking the band) This is mine for now, okay?

I would be trying it on all the time too — it’s absolutely gorgeous. I love it. It’s a good thing that the wedding week is finally here. You don’t have to wait anymore. You can have chips and dip and NOT diet and just enjoy EVERYTHING. You’ll be on sensory overload because it will all be wonderful. YAY it’s here!

I’m blinded by the shiny light! They do look like they just need one another… your poor, lonely engagement ring…
I was laughing about how you wore it somewhere where no one would know you… like you might get caught! And if you did, you could show them your marriage certificate!
Can’t wait to hear about the real wedding… soon you will be able to wear those babies everywhere and blind all the citizens of the DC metro area with your bling!

I TOTALLY did that before we got married! He brought them over, and I was so in love I slipped it on and I wore it to the market with him.
He made me take it off when we got home though, heh heh.

This post made me laugh because it reminded me of all the times I tried to sneak my wedding band on and wear it around before Cody and I tied the knot.
I don’t know what it is, but having that little band that means SO much sitting in the same room as you is akin to putting a crack addict in car with Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Zoe.
