odd pairs

listening to classic Christmas carols while watching Breaking Bonaduce

dense, rich, chocolately, white-chip chocolate cookies and wafer-thin, crispy gingersnaps

honeymoon candlelit living room yet home alone with just the kitties

sore legs (first outdoor run in weeks) and full belly (see cookies above)

newlywed love and been-together-forever nagging and snippiness

weekend with not much to do yet still no clean laundry

still mentally exhausted from work but have to go back in the morning

sunny/65 degrees and mid-December

  1. Ahem Mrs Janet, I see no paragraphs in this post. *slaps yer hands* Naughty gal!

You’re better than I - Christmas chocolate gifts from the kidlets plus lack of time to go to the gym (cough) = one huge, huge backside right now.

  2. Well the odd pairs sound pretty nice and pretty perfect. Well, except for the weather. I would be perfectly happy if it got just a wee bit colder at this point. :-)

  3. Is this post a statement on life? Because it totally seems that way!

  4. Why doesn’t laundry just do itself?

  5. The weather is freaking me out. Is it maybe a sign of the apocalypse or something? I doubt I would feel this way if it were the tail-end of winter, though.

  6. Sounds like your cookies turned out better than mine.

Tip…never make cookies from a recipe that calls for only a cake mix & 2 eggs.

  7. The Weather would be perfect if it was about 15 degrees WARMER! Give me heat!

  8. I was just saying how I could certainly do with this weather for the rest of the winter. This is perfect winter weather in my book. I don’t think it should ever dip below 40!

  9. Ugh, here in East Texas it is a winter wonderlandish 75 degrees and humid.

December the 18th and nothing to show for it but an old pair of shorts. Everything else makes you sweat!

  10. Yay! You joined! :) (our indiebloggers site, that is — that rocks!)

  11. Christmas brings out the nag in all of us.

  12. Hi there Blonde Lady! I wandered in here via IndieBloggers, of which I’m a brand-new member too! Just mingling a bit, getting to read some new bloggers.

Very nice blog, nice energy hereabouts - I love the kissy-face shot of you & your co-honeymooner on the beach, love the Ho-ho-hos - well, not personally, but the concept.

Can’t wait to read more of your writing.

BTW - I don’t know where you live, but here in Boston, it’s been balmy - a really weird Yankee winter so far.

    Best, Neasa
