Happy 30th birthday to my sweet, wonderful husband. It seems somehow fitting that his birthday this year is squeezed between Presidents’ Day and Mardi Gras. Andrew is a former science geek (a hot science geek!) who abandoned two physics degrees to pursue his love of American politics. Right in the middle of that career change, we met at Mardi Gras. Life has been better ever since.
Here’s to 30 more years, and then 30 more after that. Love you, you old man! I’m just glad you’re my old man.

Hooray for Andrew - remind him this is just his first time round being 30 - (my husband keeps saying 40 is the new 30, so…) Rock on, Andrew!

Happy Birthday! Have a wonderful year.
It’s my youngest brother’s 16th birthday today as well. Thank goodness we don’t have the tradition of those insane TV worthy parties in Australia…

That’s so sweet!! Happy birthday, fella! Mmmm… cake…
My husband turns 30 in April… I’m debating on what to do for him. He kinda dropped the ball on my 30th… and he’s always reminding me that I turned 30 first, will turn 40 first… etc. Jerk. Maybe I won’t do anything.
What? OH! Sorry. Really, sweet tribute to your guy! And wishing you two a couple more 30th milestones together.

I turned 30 two years ago. I dont have an xbox, but if I did, I’d want 6 guilt-free hours to play it for my birthday. And a steak.

[...] I gave up on the South Beach Diet (shocking, I know). I wrote about wanting to own a house, not at all knowing that within months we would actually do such a thing. Thank you, housing market downturn. My sweet husband hit the big 3-0 and we went to our cousins’ wedding in the OC. [...]
