brain = mush

I’m back!!!!!!! I have oh so many things to tell you all about, such as finding the holy grail of fast food restaurants on our trip home, and about how I’m squealing with joy that my bestest friend ever had her baby (but I’ll let her tell the story herself soon), and about how I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that I have to actually reenter the real world tomorrow and like, go to work. And perhaps go on a diet. Et cetera. I’m going to try to ease back into the blog after my very nice break.

But in the meantime, I’m having my regular semi-annual mini crisis and really wanting to cut my hair. I feel like I need something more adult. Shoulder-length with some layers/side bangs. No more hippy dippy ponytail of extra-long hair. Whattdya think? HALP!

  1. Love the shoulder-length w/layers, side bangs look! It would be soooo cute on you. You have the most perfect hair. So envious, but definitely think you could pull off that look. I vote to go for it.

  2. welcome back.

i continue to have the same hair crisis. daily.

  3. I have to say that I like your hair, but we all have those days where it’s just too much. There’s a picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt on Mamapop right now in a white dress and her hair would look great on you, in blonde of course.

    Welcome home!

  4. Congrats to your friend!!

  5. Welcome back! I agree with Lindsey about the hair. It would look cute shorter! Of course, it looks good now as well. (Now = last time you posted a picture.)

  6. a couple months ago I got a wild hair and chopped my hair off (read: about 3 or 4 inches - almost to my shoulders)

Yesterday was the first day I said, “OMG I love my hair!” since before the chop.

You’re hair is so pretty long - but a cute shoulder length cut would look great too. I really liked both Jessica Simpson and Britney’s should length bobs. Very cute.

  7. Welcome home m’dear! :D
I think you have such beautiful hair, it will look hot either way - long or shoulder length! Seems like it grows pretty fast, anyway!

  8. I’d say try something new- it’s summer in DC if you need a reason.

    Welcome back.

  9. I always like to do an early summer hair chop. It works well with my “short in the summer, long in the winter,” rule. Also, congrats on becoming and Auntie!! :)

  10. Welcome back! I understand about the annual hair crisis, but I’ve never been brave enough to do anything overly drastic on myself. What you described sounds ultra-cute, though. :)

  11. I love your post title. I seem to recall one of mine being of like mind… but anyway. I am all for chopping hair off. It grows! I have stayed away from side bangs (or as my co-workers call them, sweepy bangs) because I hate having hair in my face. But I vote yes for a hair change!

  12. I just did the whole shoulder length with side bangs thing, and I have to say I love it!

    Like alot.

But I still havent mastered the whole, wear it down with the bangs not pulled back and look cool and not like a 40 year old woman with a weird haircut.

    Hmph.

  13. I can’t wait to hear more about the trip. And see more pictures.

(and don’t cut your hair. Um, unless you are dying too. Because really, who am I to tell you what to do!?)

    Congrats on the new bebe!

  14. Welcome back! Can’t wait to hear more about the trip.

My side bangs make me nuts…but having hair in my face stresses me out. My philosophy is that it’s just hair… it’ll grow. So chop away!

  15. My hair is finally shoulder-length again and I love the length. Long enough to put in a pony tail or updo, but not overwhelmingly long–it always looks “done” not just hanging there.

Go for it! It will grow back. (Although I think your long hair is beautiful, too.)

  16. Your hair would look great any length. If you decide to go short, can I make a wig out of the stuff you cut off? Would that be wierd?

    Just kidding (sort of).
