hate: sweating like a cow on my walk to work. It’s freaking hot out there!
love: my new white pants I bought yesterday and am wearing to work today. I was feeling like my mostly-black wardrobe was bringing me down
hate: that I will most likely spill something on my new white pants today; I’d be willing to put money on it actually
love: husband and I are taking the very, very first step in learning how to become homeowners tomorrow. This means that sometime someday I might get to decorate a house! Okay, so it could still be eons away, but I’m already thinking about subscribing to Elle Decor magazine.
hate: I simply cannot find a summer purse I want to buy. How is it that there can be 57 jillion purses for sale in the world and I don’t want a single one of them?
love: there has been some activity in the quest to find hubby a new job. CROSS YOUR FINGERS (and your toes for good measure, please)
love: my fabulous and thoughtful and nice and gorgeous (and handsome!) blog readers. I know I don’t reply to all your comments these days but just know that you are way too nice to me and I totally plan on keeping you around

Love: That Tim and I finally made the firm decision to move to DC.

Hate: That all my favorite Seniors are graduating today and I nearly lost it when I saw them in the caps and gowns at commencement.

In honor of your house quest:
Love: Owning a home and having a place to call mine without worrying about painting everything back to white or ruining something so I lose my deposit money.
Hate: Paying bills like the sewer bill, and water bill, and homeowners insurance, and real estate tax - all things I didn’t have to pay when we rented.
Love: Having a lush, green yard to plant things and let the dog run around in.
Hate: Having to deal with weeds, dog poo in the yard, and trees growing over power lines.
Love: Not sharing a wall, ceiling, roof, or parking lot with anyone but hubby.
Hate: Not being able to call maintenance when something goes wrong.

Love: Amen, to the awesomeness that is Friday.
Hate: Holy heck, it is ridiculously hot and humid here. We might even break a record. Woo.
Love: Air-conditioned office!
Hate: Co-workers and I went to the Greek festival for lunch and I am now a dripping mess. I swear that I sweat more than the average person ought. Hot food + hot weather = yuck.
Love: I’m meeting up with JG and his teacher friends for a yummy Japanese dinner after their school’s graduation.
Hate: JG left at 6:30am and I won’t see him until 8:30 tonight. Also - he has to sit outside in this sauna weather with the graduates IN A SUIT.
Love: Ice water. And winter.

Love: That my friend is taking my kids for the weekend so I can spend some quality time drinking and partying!
Hate: That, in return, I have to baby-sit her kids on Sunday when I’ll most likely be hungover!
Love: That Summer is here…the warm weather, the beach, the summer drinks!
Hate: That I’m in Maine and it only lasts for 3 months!
Love: The thought of moving to an island and totally becoming a beach bum and living a simpler life.
Hate: That with two kids in tow, I just don’t have the balls to do it!

Love: That we are fortunate enough to own a home in this (crazy! so expensive!) town.
Hate: How insanely high maintenence this particular home is.
Love: That we have new gardeners that are (slowly!) clearing out a bunch of stuff that I’ve told them to.
Hate: How fat my ….entire body is, it being a rebel and having no metabolism and all.
Love: That the weather is SO nice here.
Hate: That I can’t go to the beach with my assitant b/c I’m working.Ok, slacking.
