thank god for posh spice
July 19th, 2007 @ 11:08 pm | miscellany | Post a CommentI never thought I would say this ever in my life, but I love Victoria Beckham.
Okay, maybe she needs to eat a burger or two or twelve, but that woman totally rescued my week, which was quickly swirling down the drain in a murky puddle of worry and stress.
Victoria uses the adjective “fierce” like you might say “interesting” when you want to sound like you are complimenting someone when you are actually insulting them. As in, “that neon lycra paisley keyhole minidress you’re wearing sure is… fierce!”
Whereas “major” is a total compliment. Unless it’s in reference to sloppy lipstick on the lips of an over-botoxed 60 yr old socialite. Then it’s bad.
I must know: Will living in America ruin their seemingly real-love marriage? Will she break her ankle on her freakishly tall “driving shoes”? Will the Beckham boys turn out like other famously dysfunctional Hollywood spawn? Most importantly, when and where can I tune in and find out?

Have you RSVP’d to my Pity Party yet? Did that jibberish html code work for anyone? Are you working on feeling really, really sorry for yourself? Just checking.

I know! Posh is actually kind of funny. I liked her way more than I was expecting to.

I downloaded the button and it totally worked.
And … I love Posh! She’s turning her image around which is great. I’m still completely envious of her body. Three kids!!! Envious.

OH MY GOD!
I love her too.
I watched the show last night for the second time and I have it saved on my DVR.
It was supposed to be 6 episode thing, but we only get that hour of them.
I know. I want more too.
She’s MAJOR!

Sweet jesus, I also saved it on my DVR and watched it for a second time last night.
That luncheon with the socialites cracked me up.
And I want her hairstylist to come live with me.

Me too, me too. Not the Victoria Beckham thing (one year four pre-teen girls showed up at my door on Halloween wearing track suits, when I asked why they weren’t wearing costumes, they told me with much eye-rolling that they were the Spice Girls) because I am so obviously out of it, but the not going to BlogHer part.
But my excuse isn’t so whiney or funny - just that my DH doesn’t yet know how important this sharing of lives has become to me.

I wasn’t a fan before the NBC special, but I am now. She’s fun.
They apparently consolidated 6 episodes down to just this one. I wonder if the positive public response will make them rethink that decision.

Whoopee! Now I don’t feel so bad for liking her. I didn’t know they replayed Monday’s episode! I would’ve watched it again. She is so MAJOR!

Why didn’t I watch Victoria Beckham’s show? I’ve been too busy with Hannah Montana! Damn it!
Posh was always my favorite back in the Spice Girls days.

I agree, Victoria is MAJOR! If you missed the show, you can watch it on NBC’s website. Totally a worthwhile activity on a Friday!
