boy meets tv
September 16th, 2007 @ 10:16 pm | love | Post a CommentSee boy.
See boy’s new toy. (And his breakfast.)
See boy’s new toy not fit in his (smashed) car.
Boy says, “Oopsie!”
Thankfully, for the sanity of boy’s very loving wife who must be really, really nice to let boy buy such a HUGE tv, see boy get rescued by his friend and an SUV.
The End.

Epilogue: I realize it’s a bit absurd that we spent this much money on a TV, and that I am posting all about it on the blog. I feel like I should tell you that the reason we can justify this purchase is because we used an online realtor (Zip Realty) and got a rebate on our agent’s commission. That’s where the TV money came from. I don’t know why I feel like I have to justify it, but I do. In case you were curious if my penny-pinching self won the lotto or something, which I didn’t.

This is so funny.
My last TV purchase did not fit in my car either… but after much fight/yelling/crying and almost taking it back to the store… we just took it out of the box and I sat with it the whole way home.

That is very amusing. There could be an entire TV show called “SUV Rescue” where hapless men with insanely large electronic purchases get rescued and driven home from the carparks of major stores with said purchases by a band of SUV heroes.
Stay tuned…

I received a very large TV for Christmas last year (I asked for it). I LOVE having a flat screen. They take up NO space and watching movies is awesome. It’s like a theater in your living room and you can wear your pajamas

Oh, Janet! I am figuring out now that to comment on other’s posts is a good thing
Thanks for all your sweet comments. I love your Dr. Seuss rendition of your husband. And, I wouldn’t worry about justifying your new purchase. Your life, your money

Why do all of our husbands need these ginormous televisions? I hate to admit it but I love it too…..

Love huge TVs… don’t need to justify it… In fact with the first one my husband bought helped me justify buy a new car… because no way was my husband’s tv going to be worth more than my car!

Congrats! My BF and I just bought a new flat screen LCD last week, too. Should be delivered in the next few weeks (thus, no issue with not fitting into my small car!). We look at it like we’re spending so much time at home with our pooch, we might as well all be happy!
Enjoy!!!

Janet, why didn’t you guys wait until you moved to buy the huge TV? or are you moved already?
It’s for football right? Is there any other justification?
