love & hate TGIF!!!
November 16th, 2007 @ 12:41 am | love & hate | Post a Commentlove: can you tell I am slightly happy that it’s finally Friday and I am going “out of town” tomorrow?
hate: must first survive one more day at work
love: had the girls over tonight to watch Project Runway and eat the world’s best Taco Salad that’s ever been cooked up
hate: must wait another week before the next episode! I heart this show
love: I almost forgot to tell you: we repainted the nuclear room. Trust me when I say that “pale sea mist” is totally the way to go if you are looking for a fresh pear/lime color. Elise tells me her room is the same color too!
hate: Still need curtains and accessories to turn it into a finished, amazing room. Then I will post pics.
love: cuddling under the blankets on the couch with the husband — it’s cold in this house
hate: I am not even kidding when I tell you that I just heard my mail get delivered. Despite the title of this post, it’s actually 11:14 PM on a Thursday night.
love: Oh, maybe our security deposit refund came in the mail! After all, we moved out more than 45 days ago, the legal amount of time they have to return the money with interest. Lemme go look.
hate: No check. [curses old landlord. hate. hate.]
love: 30 Rock. Dare I say it’s funnier than the current season of The Office?
hate: that I have nothing better to discuss with you than TV. Sad.
love: all of these “friends and family” sales I keep getting coupon codes for. 20% off! 25% off! 30% off!
hate: I am not allowed to go shopping for myself. Must focus on giving to others.
love: compiling my Christmas wishlist
hate: there is nothing to hate about Christmas. (See, I am trying really hard to beat down my inner scrooge. I even signed up for Blogger Secret Santa!)
love: that you all agreed with me on that chocolate body paint thing. Glad I’m not the only prude in the house. Now leave your loves and hates in the comments so we can get started on this weekend thing already!

haha chocolate body paint. I would totally bring the body paint, but I wouldn’t want to run into housekeeping. Way too embarrassing.
And hey! I’m first! ha!

Love: Living in the city
Hate: Thinking sirens are white noise
Love: Realizing those sirens were for a real fire across the street
Hate: Those new kids to the neighborhood living across the street cuz they think they’re too cool for school
Love: Watching those dumb new kids look out their windows like zoo animals … watching the firemen focus on their building … wondering why policemen, news reporters and general spectators were looking at them
Hate: Absolutely nothing about the above - I think it’s hilarious!

Love: that I’m going for a (much needed) wax tonight.
Love: I’ll be eating a FULL Thanksgiving dinner at my church tonight. Bring it.
Hate: how freakin’ damn tired I am. And how I can’t seem to ever find time to clean my damn apartment. And damn it, my damn house isn’t done yet.
Damn it.
(I got a little out of control here. Sorry.)

Love: that I will get to see my entire family in one place this Thanksgiving. It’s been a while for us.

Love: That you get like me about the talking of TV (the whole “God, I’m so boring I’m talking about TV…again”)
Hate: That some of my readers (ahem, brother-in-law, ahem) actually get pissy when I do post about TV.

What’s wrong with a family-values conservative. I’m totally one of those!
And I wish I didn’t dislike anything about Christmas, but I find myself feeling more and more overwhelmed with each year. I LOVE buying gifts for people, but I also love shopping in peace!
