on my wishlist

With no gift giving holidays in the near future, this is merely an exercise in procrastination. I really should be working on the house. But enough chatter, here’s what I’m wishing for right now.

marchwishlist.jpg

1* peacock gocco screen print, esty/jenskelley ($12)

2* keep calm and carry on vintage poster replica, keep calm gallery (£18)

3* sky umbrella, moma store ($48)

4* wii fit, will be released in the US on may 19 ($??)

5* wrought iron patio furniture, home depot (~$79-$199)

Disclaimers: My birthday is in 97 days. I bought the peacock print for myself already. A variety of keep calm posters can also be found on etsy. And I’m kinda scared to get the Wii Fit because I hear that it tells you, “You’re Fat!

comments

  1. Google reader recommended you to me… Love your blog! And Wii Fit sounds really awesome minus the fat comment.

  2. This might sound funny, but I have this love for all things peacock (as long as they’re cute). I NEED this print for myself!

  3. That peacock is beautiful. I’m excited for Wii Fit too, my fiance and I were watching videos of it on youtube last night. I want to try the snowboarding!

  4. Oooh, I’m going to have to check out wiiFit!

That print is adorable and I’ve been coveting Keep Calm for a while now.

  5. Now not only do I want a wii, but I want wii fit. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. :)

  6. I totally need a Wii.

  7. The peacock print is adorable! I want a Keep Calm poster, too. Aren’t they great?

  8. When I was growing up our across-the-street-neighbor had peacocks. Very pretty … very noisy.

  9. I really like the sign, and would love to get Wiifit. Maybe I should work on getting a Wii first.

  10. Ooooh, I love that umbrella. And given the winter gray in Chicago is now turning to spring gray (i.e., snow turns to rain), I could use something like that to cheer me up.

  11. I would settle with owning a Wii. Someday…

  12. Wow. I so need that poster. Perhaps three or four - one at home, one at work, one in the car, and one pasted to me at all times. My birthday is in less than 30 days - now I have present ideas!!

  13. Wow. I should stop being so amazed by how our tastes are EXACTLY IN SYNC, but still when I see you posting up items for your wish list that I either A) have or B) have seen and put on my own wishlist. It’s just uncanny.

Also, I am SO excited that you found where one can buy that “Keep calm” sign. I saw one somewhere a while back, and have been searching ever since!

  14. I’ve seen that print before. I love it and want one too!

  15. I really meant poster, by print. Oops!

  16. I had no idea that this Wii Fit business even existed. I totally want it now! It will probably tell me that my fitness age is 97, but still…fun!

  17. Wii Fit? What exactly does that do? I must research!

Is it wrong that one of the things I am most looking forward to about living alone is the ability to do workout videos in my apartment without shame?

  18. Oh I love the keep calm poster, I definitely need to get one of those, haha.

And the Wii Fit!? Although I need a Wii first, definitely looks like a good substitute to a gym visit.

  19. Love the peacock print, and I really want that umbrella too!!

  20. I really want the Wii Fit too….

And that peacock print is so cute!

  21. I really want the wii fitness too! You’d be so proud–I’ve gotten up the past TWO DAYS IN A ROW and gone for a jog at 5:20 am!!!! Evenings have been hopeless for me. How are you doing?

  22. Wii Fit? Wonder if the have an Abs of Steel game?

  23. I think I’d cry if a Wii told me I was fat. Even though it’s blatantly honest, that is so not the point. ;)

    Love that poster! :D

  24. i have that same peacock print in my office — have a slight obsession with them since it’s my former last name.

also love the umbrella and intrigued with Wii Fit…rude to give this as a gift to an overweight in-law that loves wii?

  25. That umbrella is adorable! I’m dying for a clear one myself–too bad I’ve put myself on a strict spending diet! I think you should buy it just because I can’t ;)

  26. I could totally drink while lounging on/in that patio set. Will their be a recliners for mid-afternoon naps? I’m thirsty already, send the ‘band on a run for vino verde!

  27. I love that poster because it makes me think of Tim Gunn…and Wii Fit? I don’t know if I could deal with the fat comments, but maybe it would be motivating?? Or I would go eat girl scout cookies out of spite…mmm, girl scout cookies!

  28. The poster is great! I have one in my office, and it’s quite the conversation piece… Also, despite my crippling fear of birds, I love the peacock!

  29. I love that you included something you’ve already bought on your wishlist. I put things I’ve already done on my to-do list sometimes, just so I can feel better about crossing things off.

Where do you find all this cute stuff, and when are you going to start a side business as a decorator??

  30. Wii Fit? Very interesting! I may need to get on board with that, seeing as we already have the Wii part of it…

  31. Ooooh, Wii Fit! I heard that was on it’s way. That’ll curb my excuses for not going to the gym on rainy/cold days.

  32. I hear ya on the whole patio furniture thing; I’ve been dying for the restoration hardware teak kind…and the backyard they show it in in the catalog.

  33. That Wii Fit looks amazing! I need to not want new things right now…

  34. Thank you so much for including my peacock in your “wish list”!

When you click on the link it shows the peacock print is sold out. I just want everyone to know that they are not sold out and are available on my website.
