playing:
Wii Sports with my girlfriends. Rather, they were playing and I was watching, and laughing so, so hard

watching:
Lars and the Real Girl. Totally lovable once you get over the initial weirdness.

reading:
Jhumpa Lahiri’s Unaccustomed Earth. I’m two stories in so far. If you liked her last book of stories you’ll like this one too.

eating:
Multigrain waffles. Two plain ones every day for breakfast and I’m a happy lady. Even happier when they are Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Each waffle is 2 points.

wondering:
What to get my awesome sister for a graduation gift? Holy cow she’s almost a dentist!

Hmmm, I wonder what Britney would get her….

Initially I mocked Wii lovers to death. But then I actually played Wii Tennis and LOVED it! So much fun
And I’m totally adding those Waffles to my grocery list. They sound so delicious right now!

I JUST watched Lars and the Real Girl. I laughed, I cried, I fell completely in love with that movie. Ryan Gosling! Hello, creepy man crush! He did such an amazing job - his acting has never stood out to me until this movie. The story in itself warmed my heart. How the community came together and all? Loved it.
You almost forget it’s a movie about a giant blow-up sex doll.
Aaaaand that photo of Britney made me pee my pants, just a little bit.

Yay for Wii!!! I can’t wait for Wii Fit to come out (I guess first I should buy the wii though…). Those waffles sounds super tasty, I am going to have to put them on my grocery list.

I am so jealous when I see people enjoying the Wii. I want one, I want one. -pouts- Unfortunately, I need to wait til I get home. Oh the perils of being an ex-pat: I can’t get SETTLED!
Whatever you end up buying your sis, I say get her a grill as well. Go on!
Okay, I’m craving those waffles. Boo to the UK grocery stores who have the most boring items for sale in the world.

I saw some candy grillz at Blockbuster- it holds on your teeth and there is like a lollipop behind them…They cost more that 50 cents so I didnt snatch them up. Wii kind of weirds me out like Karaoke…

My book club is reading “Interpreter of Maladies,” and I loved it, so I think I need to check out this new story collection. I kept meaning to add “Lars and the Real Girl” to my list of Movies to See Without JG, so thanks for the reminder!

Ha! I too, just (finally) watched Lars- now I have to say (and may have to surrender my girl badge) I loathed The Notebook and most, if not all the war movies he was in- but this was really sweet, albeit slightly unbelieveable. How much does the Gos look like David Arquette with the longer hair and scary stache?I would sell my Wii, but kids love it when they come over.

Omg Wii boxing might be the best arm workout ever! Every time I play I am sore for like 3 days. But at least it’s a fun and easy way to sculpt arms

I don’t know what you should get your sister the almost-dentist for graduation… but when my sister graduated from dentistry I got her Dentist Barbie. Seriously.
Can I put a link to eBay? Sure, why not… Dentist Barbie on EBay

We played Wii at a bridal shower for one of my coworkers last night. Far better than toilet paper brides!
Am dying to read the new Lahiri book.

I heard that movie was great and I do love that author. Will have to check both out. BTW, check in with my blog tomorrow (as if you don’t check it everyday now that I removed the music player for you!). You might like what you see.

I am reading that book too! I love Jhumpa Lahiri’s writing style. And Oliver loves plain waffles too. (Waf-fuff!)
Wish I could give you a great suggestion for a gift for your sister (a dentist! how awesome!), however, I’m already stuck on a gift for my husband the almost-lawyer. Our trip to Chicago is a partial gift, but I’d still like to get him something just for him though. T minus 17 days… uh oh…
